Truck Driver/Shop Laborer

InterClean Equipment is searching for a dependable Truck Driver/Shop Labor team member based out of Ypsilanti, Michigan. Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.

Job Type: Hourly non-exempt, Full Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
Experience level: Entry Level
Rate of Pay: $17.00 – $20 per hour

Work Location: In-person, Ypsilanti, MI 48197
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.
- Perform duties as truck driver with chauffeur’s license.
- Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
- Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
- Perform general maintenance tasks.
- Unload steel truck with crane or lift truck.
- Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customer accounts.
- Maintain customer job folders for work in progress.
- Picks up and trucks scraps from work areas.
- Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
- Performs other routine duties as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Chauffeur’s license, experience operating and driving trucks with trailers.
- Clean driving record.
- 1-2 years of on-the-job welding experience required.
- General knowledge of hand tools and reading blueprints/wire diagrams required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work on the production floor
- Exposure includes hazardous materials and loud noise
- Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must have manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Occasional weekend shifts required as needed
