Area Sales Manager - Eastern United States
InterClean Equipment is a Michigan based specialized designer and manufacturer of large vehicle wash equipment. The company is delivering rapid and consistent growth and is seeking to expand our great team of technical sales professionals. The Eastern Area Sales Manager shall have responsibility for sales in the Eastern United States and will act as the point of contact for both existing and prospective clients within the defined territory.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales professional currently living in the Eastern United States, preferably with experience in long cycle capital equipment sales. Industry experience in large vehicle fleet operating industries is also desired.

Salary Range: $80,000 – $150,000 a year

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Close equipment sales opportunities for the company within the target markets of public transit, education, fleet, military, mining and public works.
- Deliver excellent sales support and consultation to prospective clients seeking heavy duty wash equipment.
- Provide leadership and training to distributors and manufacturer’s representatives working within the territory.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with technical design firms that specialize in fleet maintenance infrastructure design projects.
- Prepare qualifying professional proposals for public bid opportunities.
- Prepare effective proposals for direct sale opportunities for both private and publicly funded projects.
- Work with all parties involved in construction projects, including:
- Owners
- Architectural and Engineering firms
- Contractors
- Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing designers
- Actively manage a pipeline of sales opportunities within a long-cycle project environment where projects are often multi-year.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated sales success
- General technical and mechanical aptitude
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Preference for experience in the heavy-duty vehicle fleet market
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Environment, home office and regional travel
- Exposures may be encountered while visiting a customer’s site, such as loud noise, or extreme heat/cold
- Essential physical requirements, including sitting and typing
- Ability to travel which may require occasional work on nights or weekends
