Fabrication Technician
InterClean is seeking a skilled Fabrication Technician to join our team. The Fabrication Technician will be responsible for utilizing various tools and equipment to fabricate raw materials according to specifications. This role requires proficiency in welding techniques, as well as the ability to construct jigs and fixtures to enhance accuracy and efficiency in production. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fabrication processes and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Uses the saw, burn table, shear, and press brake to mold raw materials to specifications on prints.
- Mig, Tig, and Stick welding in fabrication process.
- Builds jugs and fixtures to aid in accuracy and efficiency for repetitive jobs.
- Attaches chains and straps to work in progress in preparations for moving with the crane or lift truck.
- Lifts, positions, and removes work pieces from machines to assist in fitting and welding.
- Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work in process by hand crane or lift truck.
- Unload steel truck with crane or lift truck.
- Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customer accounts.
- Maintain customer job folders for work in progress.
- Cleans and scrapes metal for fabricating, welding, and painting for shipping.
- Picks up and trucks scraps from work areas.
- Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
- Performs other routine duties as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of on-the-job welding experience required.
- General knowledge of hand tools, machining equipment, and blueprint reading required.
- Working Knowledge: Sufficient familiarity with the subject to know basic principles and terminology and to understand and solve simple problems.
- General Knowledge: Sufficient knowledge of a field to perform most work in normal situations. The work calls for comprehension of standard situations and includes knowledge of most of the significant aspects of the subject.
- Thorough Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of the subject matter. The work calls for sufficient comprehension of the subject area to solve unusual as well as common work problems, to be able to advise on technical matters, and to serve as a resource on the subject for others in the organization.
- Comprehensive Knowledge: Requires complete mastery and understanding of the subject. This term should be used sparingly and only for unusually exacting or responsible positions required to originate hypotheses, concepts, or approaches.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work on the production floor
- Exposure includes hazardous materials and loud noise
- Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must have manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Occasional weekend shifts required as needed
