Packing Associate

InterClean Equipment is searching for a dependable, detail-oriented Packer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing large equipment for shipping, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in packaging operations. They will work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.

Job Type: Full Time, Hourly, Non-exempt
Schedule: 6 am – 2:30 pm, Monday – Friday
Experience: 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment
Salary Range: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely and accurately package finished products according to company guidelines and specifications.
- Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packaging processes and efficiency.
- Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
- Perform general maintenance tasks.
- Load and Unload truck with crane or lift truck.
- Operate forklift.
- Ensure accuracy of shipment by tracking items packed against pack list.
- Knowledge of materials handling best practices.
- Ensure quality control by inspecting products for defects and making certain that only high-quality products are packaged and shipped.
- Keep accurate records of packaging materials used and report any shortages to the supervisor.
- Operate packaging machinery safely and efficiently. Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance as required.
- Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Apply appropriate labels to packages, ensuring all information is accurate and legible.
- Performs other routine duties as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- General knowledge of hand tools, safety, and machining equipment.
- Attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work on the production floor
- Exposure includes hazardous materials and loud noise
- Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must have manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Occasional weekend shifts required as needed
