Installation/Service Technician

Expected Travel: 70% – 90% Travel
Salary Range: $21 – $27 an hour

Work Location:

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel to customer sites to install vehicle wash systems.
- Document accurate hours, site conditions, and work performed to be reported to Production Supervisor in accordance with InterClean Equipment SOP’s.
- Effectively communicate with the customer on—site and back to the home office. Documents customer communication within SOP document.
- Install and ensure workmanship and supplied equipment meets specifications and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot on-site for problems suggest improvements for systems.
- Connect electrical wiring, cables, and piping systems as specified.
- Perform testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
- Square, align, and assembly bases, or equipment structural components, on floor or floor plate.
- Drill and tap holes in specified locations.
- Attach breakers, relays, contactors, bus bars, transformers, insulators, regulator cabinets, condenser units, motor & generator sets, meters, plugging devices, and fuse blocks to mounting holes with bolts and screws.
- Cut, strip, bend, and from wire cable, conduit, pipe, and tubing used to connect circuits and subassemblies.
- Glue PVC piping.
- Install and adjust electrical assemblies.
- Discuss errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
- Provide professional customers service to both internal and external customers.
- Use components in an accurate manner.
- Consistently demonstrate effective on-site organization.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous construction experience preferred.
- Electrical/controls experience preferred (Allen Bradley, PC)
- Microsoft Suite experience preferred.
- Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
- Experience with power tools and heavy machinery required.
- Position requires a minimum of 70-90% travel, travel schedule varies.
- Thorough knowledge: advanced knowledge of the subject matter. The work calls for sufficient comprehension of the subject area to solve unusual as well as common work problems, to be able to advise on technical matters, and to serve as a resource on the subject for others in the organization.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work in varying work environments.
- Must be able to kneel, squat, and climb ladders.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Work may include weekend, night, or on-call shifts.
